Description
Polyprime R is a two component solvent free epoxy resin based primer system designed for applications in areas which are damp and rusted. The primer is required to be used in conjunction with modified epoxy polysulphide coating systems which will be applied on damp or rusted surfaces.

Surface Preparation
Surface preparation plays a vital role in determining the durability of any coating. Therefore proper care should be taken while executing it. The surface should be free from dust, dirt, curing compound, oil etc. clean the surface thoroughly to remove all loosely adhering particles and cement laitance by captive shot blasting. Surface cracks and pot holes shall be repaired with a suitable repair mortar.
Mixing
Mix part A and part B separately for 1 minute using a drill fitted with mixing paddle. Then transfer part B into part A and mix thoroughly for 1-2 minutes to achieve a uniform consistency.
Application
Polyprime R application can start immediately after the repair system achieves its initial cure. Apply the mixed material immediately within the pot life on the prepared surface. The primer may be applied with brush, roller or airless spray. The coating is applied when the primer is in a tacky to semi-tacky condition. However, in all circumstances, the coating shall be applied within 12 hours of application of the primer. If the primer surface is left open for more than 12 hours, then a fresh coat of primer has to be re-applied.
