Description

Polyseal PP is a one component, pasty adhesiveand sealing compound based on silylmodified polymer (Smp), which hardens through humidity to a flexible product. polyseal pp does not shrink and does not release any other chemical during the curing process. Polyseal PP can be used as sealing compound in extremely strained joints, such as industrial plants. because of its high resistance to chemicals, Polyseal PP is particularly suitable for high chemical contaminated areas. In addition Polyseal PP is also good for clean air rooms. Polyseal PP is proofed, tested and certified for the use in food-areas and for drinking water. Polyseal PP has a good UV-resistance and can be painted over. Polyseal PP is even in fresh condition very adhesive, so that already after joining the adhesive parts together a high initial tack is achieved. Polyseal PP is even suitable for the sealing and bonding under water.

Surface requirements

The surface has to be solid, load bearing, clean and free of separating substances (grease, oil, etc.) for highly absorbent substrates priming is recommended. Please consult our technical department for ecommendations.

Application

Polyseal PP should be spread steady with force on the bonding area. for the processing we propose hand operated guns or compressed air pistols. opened sausages or cartridges should be consumed soon. the adhesion on difficult plastics like pe or pp (polyfine) should be tested before the application. On contact surfaces like aluminum, galvanized steel plate, PVC, PS and makrolon Polyseal PP can be used without primer. The adhesion on moistly concrete ground is similar high as on dry primed concrete. In addition bonding under water is possible. The time in which the material becomes hard is dependent on the humidity and the temperature. Through the raising of temperature and humidity the hardnesstime can be shortened.
